Webcams, curry and kissing!

I've been a bit lax at blogging recently aside from the mini video one yday....check it out - we were learning to use shax's built in webcam (built in to his laptop, that is, not built in to him....tho if it were it might look something like this)

Anyway, today's show was fun and went very very quickly, I think because we were mainly concentrating on eating curry. We went to the shop before and got two chicken tikkas and an accompanying bombay potato for only £5. Bargain! It did rather stink the studio out (again), and the office, and the shop. Peter wasn't very happy and gave Shax a bit off a ticking off. Shax was unconcerned though as at that precise moment Mr Wimble's chocolate caught his eye.....

So only one show left from us (you can actually catch me on other RMFM shows, check the schedule for details.....though of course Munchtime Mayhem with Shax is my favourite) until the next FM broadcast when I suspect we will be persuaded back.

Be sure to check out the Podcasts page of rmfm to cetch up on the best bits of Mayhem with Liz and Shax.

Love Liz xxx

p.s. shax mentioned on the blog that on todays show I was talking about kissing safely well this is an interesing link all about it....The best news being that kissing is more hygenic than shaking hands, so don't worry too much everyone *mwah*

23rd November show

Hi Guys, As promised on todays show here is a pic of Liz in her 'almost' indecent little dress. It's tough to see as she's all in black but take it from me it achieves the desired effect. The show was the usual mix of chaos, food and more chaos. Liz was talking about ways avoiding swine flu when kissing. And I was banging on about how the bbc is about as much use as a chocolate fire guard. Liz likened me to the Grumpy old men. She's not far wrong I guess. I'll get Liz to blog a bit after she's finished propper work.

Monday, 16 November 2009

Hi All. Well we've just finished the lunchtime show on RMFM for Monday 16th Nov. The wind ups continue with me getting three in to Liz's & Mr W's none. I am now miles ahead in a pretty well unassailable position as KING of the RMFM Wind-ups. Liz is still talking to me though Just!. Liz has promised to have the podcasts up and running on http://www.romneymarsh.fm/ ASAP. Drop by and check them all out. Today's Munchtime sketch was about me trying to re-assemble the back of Liz's Corsa after she had returned my drum kit that Mr W had borrowed for the use of the bands at the annual Allied showcase. She couldn't put the seats and parcel shelf back so I had to do it with her trying to help. Bless. Popey and cars do not enjoy the best of relationships!. If I can put it like that. I did a spoof ad about Allied which Mr W appreciated muchly as the pic clearly shows. I also aired Liz's grovelling apology to me in the form of an 'Our Tune' which amused her greatly. The last one was a spoof of Liz at the Allied showcase. As I say, you can check all these out on the podcast at http://www.romneymarsh.fm/

That's it for now. I would guess Liz will be retalliating at some point so until I blog again, addio per ora il mio friens

The Wind Up Situation

Hi all, Shax here. Right lunch done. Pork steak, mashed pots, sprouts and carrots. Nice!.

The wind up situation is as follows. Mr w started it all off AGAIN with a scurrilous character assasination on myself, surprisingly, with the help of my co-presenter Liz Pope. I had done nothing to deserve such treatment and retaliated by producing a spoof advert pertaining to the dubious character of mr wimble and mailed it to Liz Pope demanding they remove the offending soundbite from the RMFM website or I would post my spoof advert on my facebook page, which meant it would have been exposed to all of our joint friends, and appologise to me for the damage to my character. Liz Pope aired her appology live on the Lunchtime show on Thursday. It was very sincere and brought a tear to my eye. *chuckle*. I insisted mr w post a comprehensive appology on his Facebook page which, after fierce protestations, he did. It was my moment of triumph as I hadn't been offended at all and in fact thought their spoof feature on me was hilarious. When i informed mr w, via my Facebook page that he was in fact the subject of a bet between Liz and myself that i would never be able to get mr w to appologise to me publicly on Facebook he was not amused to say the least. So war has now been declared on all fronts between mr w, Liz & Myself. I, however, cannot be bothered any more and consider myself the winner with my groveling appology from David Wimble on his Facebook page for all to see being unbeatable. So I will let mr w and Liz battle it out for second place.

Listen in to the show on Monday as I expect the dopey pair will be trying once again to claim the wind up crown as their own. On my part I promise never again to stoop to such childish behaviour in the pursuit of broadcasting entertainment ;)

Ciao for now miei amici Shax

First Munchtime Show!

Hello!

We have just finished our first Monday Munchtime Mayhem Show! We had lots of fun and food! Before the show we purchased Sub of the day from Subway which was Chicken Tikka Sandwiches, and cakes from Elsies in the High Street. I had a jam donut, and shax had TWO (of course) Eccles Cakes! Shax especially enjoys the food....bless.

The show itself was great! We played lots of cool music, including some great new tracks such as Lily Allen's new Single 'Who'd have known' and Shax's current favourite 'Under the Sheets' by Ellie Goulding. Check her out. Shax reckons she's gonna be huge. Not physically of course but artiste wise....unless she starts to eat as much as he does.

As we blog in the office at the moment Councillor Clive Goddard appears wearing a Sp*rs Shirt. Not to be outdone Shax appeared from making the tea with something rather silly balancing on his head declaring "If people are allowed in here wearing tottenham clothes it's ok if I wear my Arsenal hat" The hat was of course my Arsenal cereal bowl! Shax was inches from death when the bowl very nearly slipped from his head, luckily for him I caught it! And talking of football we will be posting the Sketch we played on the show of Shax and I attending Arsenal V Celtic champions league match at the Emirates (Hemmoroids.....leave it Shax!!!) Stadium as a podcast on the RMFM website later today.

Also we want to say thanks to Steve of Freeflow Drains for donating a MP3 Player as a prize for our competition. The question was what is the instrument you stick down drains to unblock them? The answer was of course 'Drain Rods' and winner Sandie will soon be able to listen to Liz and Shax Podcasts on her new MP3 Player! Mandy at Heath Art Crafts also donated a prize of a masterclass in Ceramic painting, which Simon Collins ended up giving away on his show (which is after ours 2 till 5pm). If you are a local business and want to donate a prize for us to give away on next weeks show then please get in touch 01797 362000 or email liz@romneymarsh.fm.
Anyway that's it for now! We shall blog again later in the week. Thanks for reading and listening.
Love Liz and Shax
